Free courses for patients in Kingston starting in September

There are a few upcoming courses the NHS Kingston Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are running for patients living with long-term illness or chronic pain. 

Spaces are available on the courses and patients are invited to refer themselves to the course.  

 

Expert Patients Programme Course

The course aims to give attendees tips on how to better manage living with their long-term illness and covers topics such as nutrition, exercise, relaxation, pain management and medication.  

The course meets once weekly for six weeks for 2½ hours at the same time and place.

 

Upcoming course starts are:

Starting Wednesday 4 September, 2pm-4:30pm, with the final session on 16 October (there will be no meeting on 18 September).

It will take place at the Richard Mayo Centre, United Reform Church, Eden Street, Kingston KT1 1HZ

 

Starting Tuesday 17 September, 1:30pm-4pm, with the final session on 22 October.

It will take place at the Lighthouse Church Hall, 27 Seaforth Avenue, New Malden, Surrey, KT3 6JR

 

Free refreshments will be provided, alongside a comprehensive handbook giving more detail about the course contents.

Chronic Pain Self-Management Course

The NHS in Kingston is offering a free course to local people in Kingston who live with chronic pain.

The course meets once weekly for six weeks for 2½ hours. 

 

The next upcoming course starts on 4 September, 6pm-8:30pm, in the Kingston Hospital A&E Seminar Room.  (There will be no meeting on 18 September)

 

Free refreshments will be provided.
