Non-emergency patient transport changes in Kingston and Richmond

From Tuesday 1 October 2019, there is a new provider for the community non-emergency patient transport and eligibility assessment call centre for Richmond and Kingston CCGs.

The new provider is Healthcare and Transport Services known as HATS, replacing ERS Medical.

They will continue to provide the eligibility assessment service via a call centre for all hospital and community appointments.  HATS will also provide NEPT for patients attending community appointments with Your Healthcare (YH) in Kingston and Hounslow and Richmond Community Healthcare (HRCH) in Richmond.

The eligibility assessment call centre is operated by experienced HATS staff who will answer and deal with requests for non-emergency ambulance transport from Richmond and Kingston borough residents to attend both their hospital and community appointments. The call centre numbers remain the same, as listed below:

  • For Kingston – 0333 240 4926
  • Fo Richmond - 0333 240 4082

Several of the current drivers from ERS Medical will be transferring to HATS so other than changes to uniforms and vehicles, patients and HRCH and YH staff will see no changes to the current service.
