NHS services during the August bank holiday weekend

NHS services during the August bank holiday weekend
20 August 2019

During the August bank holiday weekend (24 to 26 August 2019), local residents in Kingston will have access to a range of healthcare services through extended access GP appointments – accessible by calling 111 over the weekend or the dedicated weekend telephone number 020 3841 9942 - and urgent treatment centres.  Find your nearest service here

Those with urgent medical issues can call NHS 111 to speak to a fully trained adviser, 24 hours a day. Advisors can connect callers to a nurse, emergency dentist or GP and can arrange face-to-face appointments.

Local residents are also reminded to stock up on repeat prescriptions before the weekend but if you do need to visit a pharmacy, a full list of their opening hours over the August bank holiday can be found on the right. Pharmacists are a great resource and can help with a wide variety of minor health issues.

If you have an emergency, call 999 or go to A&E.

Accident and emergency departments are for seriously ill people with life threatening conditions, so we would encourage you to use alternative health services if the issue isn’t an emergency.
