Help to manage diabetes

DESMOND is a structured group education programme developed by experienced health care professionals in participation with people who have diabetes. The programme is for those newly diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and has been designed to meet Diabetes NSF Standard 3 for Self Management and also NICE and DoH/DUK quality standards and criteria for structured education. Patients will receive 6 hours of structured education in a group setting with up to 10 participants with a family member or friend. It is delivered by 2 healthcare professionals trained to deliver the course, receiving mentorship, quality assurance and professional teaching.
